Porter Medical Center is a non-profit health care system located in Middlebury, Vermont. Porter Medical Center and its subsidiary corporations are organized for the primary purpose of providing medical and long-term care services for residents of a broad service area encompassing Addison County, northern Rutland County, northeastern New York State, students and staff of Middlebury College and visitors to the area.

Porter Rehabilitation and Orthopedic Services (PROS) Working in collaboration and/or under the direction of our two area orthopedic surgeons, Dr. Rosenberg and Dr. Benz, Porter Hospital offers a coordinated approach to rehabilitation services. Cardiac Wellness Program
Our Cardiac Wellness Program is based on the program developed by Herbert Benson, MD and Aggie Casey, RN at Harvard Medical School. It is a 13 week program that helps participants make heart healthy lifestyle changes that last. Prior to beginning the program, each participant has a consultation with our Cardiologist. A exercise test is performed, and an individual treatment plan is created. Quit Tobacco Groups/ClassesThis free program offers you on-on-one coaching with a trained tobacco treatment specialist scheduled at your convenience; free nicotine replacement therapy, such as the patch, if you choose to use it as an aid in quitting; and a weekly quit tobacco class/group to help you quit and then stay quit.
