Magaret Gardner

E. Margaret Gardner, CNM

Maggie joined Tapestry in January 2015 and is thrilled to be working in her home community. She grew up in Vergennes and attended The University of Vermont for her undergraduate studies. She graduated from Frontier Nursing University in 2013 with a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialty in Nurse-Midwifery.

She lives in Vergennes with her two children. When she’s not working, Maggie enjoys being outdoors as much as possible-hiking with her dog, biking, and snowboarding.

Heather Kidde

Heather B. Kidde, CNM

Heather attended Colorado College as an undergraduate, and the University of California, San Francisco where she received a Masters in Science with a specialty in Nurse-Midwifery & Women’s Health.

Heather loves supporting women and their families through pregnancy and birth and watching the babes grow.

She resides in Vergennes with her husband, daughter Lily and son Luke.

Katherine Wagner

Practice Interest: Well-woman care and a full range of obstetrical and gynecologic care. Dr. Wagner strives to provide the most up-to-date care with compassion and personal attention.

 Molly Brown Molly Brown, WHNP

Molly joined Porter Women’s Health in 2016.  Molly is originally from Vermont and is excited to be back in her home state. She attended the University of North Texas for her undergraduate degree in Social Science, then decided to go back to school and earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in nursing at Columbia University in New York City.  Since then Molly has worked in a variety of women’s health care settings including Planned Parenthood, private practice in NYC, and as an active duty member of the United States Air Force. Molly is passionate about educating women about their bodies and their reproductive health, and helping each individual to make the right health decisions for her particular life circumstances.  Molly especially enjoys family planning/contraceptive care and working with adolescents.

Molly lives in Middlebury with her husband and daughter.  In her off time Molly enjoys running, hot yoga, and traveling.

Emily Zolten

Emily Zolten, APRN CNM

Emily is thrilled to join Porter Women’s Health as a Certified Nurse Midwife. She became a Registered Nurse from Vermont Technical College in 2011 and worked in the Birthing Center at PMC for six years.

She graduated from Frontier Nursing University with a Master’s Degree in Nursing with a specialty in Nurse-Midwifery. Previously, she served women and families as a student midwife and as a Certified Professional Midwife in the homebirth setting.

Emily is passionate about supporting women in making informed choices about their health care and childbirth experiences. Emily enjoys being at home with her husband and three daughters and spending time in the woods running and skiing.


Renée Bratspis, MD

Renée completed her residency in family medicine and a fellowship in obstetrics and gynecology. She returns to her roots in Vermont and will be seeing patients in both our Primary Care Brandon and Porter Women’s Health practices.

 Liz Hammel

Liz Hammel, Lead RN

Liz found and loves nursing after time as a teacher, coach, and stay-at-home mom. She lives in Weybridge with her husband, son and daughter. The family enjoys camping and the lakes in the summer and snow boarding and skiing the mountains in the winter.

Liz likes to trail-run with their dog and spends time volunteering with the Vermont Cystic Fibrosis Center Advisory Board and at her children’s schools.

 Catherine Cannon

Catherine Cannon, RN

A native Vermonter, Catie came to nursing after a career in the arts and is happy to have found her calling in women’s health. She enjoys working with and educating women during all phases of life and finds the relationships she develops with patients over time one of the most rewarding aspects of her job. She is working to become a Certified Birth Doula and looks forward to the opportunity to support women and their families during childbirth.

 Karen Wagner

Karen Wagner, RN

Karen joined Porter Women’s Health after working for many years as an RN on Labor and Delivery at Porter Medical Center. She divides her professional life between PWH and Addison County Home Health and Hospice as a Maternal Child Health Case Manager.

Karen is a Certified Lactation Counselor and enjoys supporting mothers and families during their breastfeeding journey. Promoting health and wellness through patient education and encouragement is the aspect of her work that Karen finds most fulfilling.

Karen is thrilled to be part of the wonderful team at PWH, providing comprehensive, compassionate care to the women of our community.

Lisa Roberts, RN

Lisa lives in West Cornwall with her husband John. They have four grown children and now are enjoying five grandchildren. She enjoys many outdoor activities including gardening , skiing and horseback riding.

Lana is native Vermonter and feels blessed to live in such a beautiful state. She has worked at Addison Associates for four years with wonderful co-workers.

She enjoys seeing new families begin. She and her husband are building a new home in Leicester. They have four grown children and she loves gardening and spending time with her family and friends.

Sarah is a native Vermonter and lives with her family in Vergennes. She enjoys her work because it involves helping women in Addison County and surrounding areas access resources to get the care they are looking for. Sarah loves summertime at the lake and wintertime in the snow!

After getting care and having two children through Porter Women’s Health, Michelle is thrilled to be a part of such an amazing group of women. She enjoys being at home with her family, cooking, campfires, art projects and adventures traveling with her husband and kids.

Amy is a native to Addison County. In her spare time, when she is not saving the people of Gotham City, she is raising her two daughters with the help of her husband, renovating their 3rd generation home located in East Middlebury. Amy loves being outdoors with her large unruly dogs and enjoying her laid back lifestyle.
