Accountable Care
Porter Medical Center participates in Vermont’s statewide accountable care organization, OneCare Vermont. OneCare is working to transform the way health care is paid for and delivered by shifting from a model that rewards for more tests and services, to one that incentivizes value of care to the patient.

Affiliates
Porter Medical Center works collaboratively with local hospitals, rural clinics, providers and other health care organizations to offer high-quality care close to home. Through this integrated system of care, we work together to strengthen the services available to patients throughout Vermont, with coordination among providers and the streamlining of services.
Alliance with the University of Vermont
As part of the UVM Health Network, we are affiliated with Vermont’s academic medical center, consisting of the UVM Medical Center, the Larner College of Medicine at UVM, and the UVM College of Nursing and Health. Our doctors are helping to train the next generation of physicians and are constantly seeking new cures and treatments through research.
